Support is a way for readers to give kudos to their favorite creators by sending Ink to them directly. When readers use Ink for Support, 100% of the profit goes to creators after any 3rd party fees (On apps (Apple/Google) 30%, on web (Paypal/Stripe) 15%). Tapas takes no cut from support earnings.
Apply to the Support Program
Creators are able to apply to the Support Program via their dashboard once 250 subscribers have been reached for any one of their series.
I was rejected from the Support Program - Why?
Every application is reviewed by a Tapas Staff member. We're looking at the applicant's activity, like uploading schedule and general behavior on Tapas, to confirm that they're a real person and an active community member.
An application will be rejected if the account can't be 100% verified on our end. Rejected creators can apply again after a waiting period of 90 days.
Misuse of the Support Feature
Access to the Support feature is a privilege granted at the discretion of the Tapas team. If we determine that the Support feature is being misused—through activities such as self-tipping, manipulation of Ink transactions, use of bots, or coordinated fraudulent behavior—Tapas reserves the right to take the following actions:
- Deny or revoke access to the Support Program
- Suspend or permanently ban accounts involved
Any attempt to exploit the Support system undermines the integrity of the platform and violates our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. We take these issues seriously in order to maintain a fair and trustworthy environment for all creators and readers.
