How Can I Tell The Difference Between Mature and All Ages Comics?

At Tapas, we have a bunch of different stories, ranging from Mature content to ones suitable for All Ages. Some series even offer both! If you're curious about how to distinguish between the two versions, you’ve come to the right spot! 

Which is which?

When it comes to Mature series, these are the things you're going to want to look out for:

• Is the series located in the Mature section?
• Does the series have a red M on the title image?
• Does the series have (Mature) in the title?
• Am I able to locate the series by searching within the App?

Keep in mind that all Mature series are contained within the designated Mature section and have a red M next to the title:

You won't see the Red M when you're on the series info page, but it will always have Mature in the title! Here's an example with the series Marriage of Convenience.

We can see both versions when you search on the web; however, you can see that one version only has the title (this is the All Ages Version), and one version has Mature in the title and has a red M in the image:

When you click onto the Mature version and go to the series page, you won't see the red M anymore, but it still says Mature in the title itself (bonus: you can also see the All Ages (15+) version in the Recommended series on the bottom right!):

So that's a bit of a breakdown on differentiating between Mature series and the All Ages version on the desktop! But what if you're trying to locate this series on the App?

App vs. Desktop

To comply with the Terms of Use for both the iOS and the Android app, the Mature section is unavailable within the app. What does this mean?

Using the series Marriage of Convenience again, if I search for this series within the app, only the All Ages version will pop up:

Just remember, this doesn’t necessarily mean a series doesn’t have a Mature version available! It’s just that you’ll only find it on the desktop site and not in the app.

So if you are attempting to unlock episodes specifically from the Mature version, you will need to do so on the desktop site!
