Why do I need to update the app?

Out with the old and in with the new (and improved!)!

Updating to the latest version of the Android or iOS app ensures you'll have access to the newest Tapas features, performance improvements, and bug fixes.

We suggest switching on auto-updates in your device settings so you always have the latest version as soon as it's available. If you prefer manual updates, Tapas will let you know when there's a newer version available to download. 

Recommended... or required?

Although we recommend always using the latest version of Tapas for the best experience, most updates are optional. Sometimes these updates include new features or fix crashes, but in general, the app will continue working whether you update now, or skip it and update later.

Sometimes, however, an update may be required to continue using Tapas, and you won't be able to continue without it. If an update is required, it means we added or changed something significant, and older versions of the app will no longer work properly.
